B has strep too

This morning B had the mashed potato voice so I called to get her an appointment. Yep, it's strep! They gave her a shot of penicillin and said that would work faster and would be better for her. Two down...two to go.

So I was the favorite mom today!

K's teacher's aide, Mrs. Hamilton, came to our house one day and saw the puppies when they were very little. She told K that when they get bigger to bring them for show-and-tell. Today was the day. It was the perfect day...the weather was great! When I took the puppies out to their little playground I was surrounded by little kiddos. They loved playing with them. They held them, played chase...both kids chase puppies and puppies chase kids. It was fun to see their little faces. Mrs. Hamilton was as bad as the kids, she kept taking them from the kids to hold...she is a puppy lover. Everyone needs a puppy when they're young!

New recipe...

check it out, it's to die for!!! Thanks Ab I can't claim it--it's a crockpot recipe and turns out perfect. R even liked it and he doesn't do pasta. Don't forget the garlic bread!

Another project...

this time it's the bathroom. The other night when we were in Walmart I picked up this AWESOME fabric to make a shower curtain for the girls bathroom. I love it...the yellow has little glitter specks on it. You know when you have fabric and you can picture in your mind the final project and it just makes you smile...that's what this fabric does to me. I can't wait, hopefully everyone is well so I can start on it tomorrow.

It's +++...

strep. On Sunday Ry wasn't acting her normal self...then she woke up during the night with a fever. This morning she had the mashed potato voice, so I knew that she had strep. She just had it ON Thanksgiving Day. I called to get her an appointment and they said that they hadn't had any positive strep tests for a while. When I took her in sure enough it was positive. They said that since they hadn't seen it in a while when she is finished with her antibiotic wait 24-48 hours and bring her back so they can do another culture to check and see if she may be a carrier. They will have to send it off, and if she is, then they will take out her tonsils. They said that they aren't as flexible as they were when we were kids taking them out. There has to be a reason. I am going to get K's out this summer, her reason...snoring. Hopefully Ry's will be a reason, because she is getting strep WAY TOO MUCH!

I've been waiting and waiting...

for my vinyl cutter. I have wanted one for quite a while, but I just couldn't seem to spend the money on one--although I would use it as work. Well R got this big nice stereo/DVD/Mappy-thing in his truck and within the next few days he came to me and said that he had ordered my vinyl cutter. He said that he had talked with my friend who has one and got all of the details and he ordered it. I was so excited. I guess he felt a little guilty. He is always so sweet...I always say that he is the girl in our relationship. He loves to talk on the phone, he is always so thoughtful on gifts for me (I'm the awful one when it comes to thoughtful gifts) and he loves to shop for his little girls. I love this about him!!! Anyways, I got my plotter all set up and working, so if anyone needs a sticker or gift give me a call and I will be happy to fill your order. I have been playing with it the whole weekend, trying to figure things out! Bring on the work!!!

I feel such peace...

when we go to the temple. Since loosing Braxton, we made a commitment to attend the temple once every two months. It is sometimes difficult to find someone to watch the girls, but I have a friend that we decided to swap babysitting so this makes it easier! We went on Friday evening and had a great time. I wish I could live there...I guess that's why we need to go often to remember and feel of the peace that we could feel in the eternities. I strive to live my life so that I will be able to live with my family--which is the most important thing to me on this earth--forEVER. I have a much deeper testimony of the plan of salvation now than ever before. Thanks R for taking me on Friday...I love peace!

Isn't this the cutest!!!

I've always loved lil' naked buns especially with the big cheesy smile. B is potty trained...one more thing I can cross off my New Year's Resolution List. It is the funniest thing when she gets up on the pot. She gets her right foot up on the bathtub and hops over and turns all at the same time to sit just right. Then she usually smiles in accomplishment for herself. Abbi and Ami gave Mk a picture just like this for her 2nd birthday and I have it hanging in the girls' bathroom so now I will add B's to the collection. Yeah Bean...sure love ya!

A day at the spa...

just what any puppy needs. We breed boxers and the girls just absolutely love the puppies...especially K, she's our animal lover. They are always asking to hold them and play with them. Well today they asked if they could give them a bath. It was so cute! They bathed them...cuddled them...and dried them with the blowdrier. I'm sure the puppies felt just like we do after a day at the spa...LOL!!! Aren't they so cute?

Perfect Valentine...

for my baby boy! One day I was in Safeway of all places and happened to see this adorable bear. My first thought was that's the perfect Valentine bear for Braxton. I've had it on my buffet waiting for Valentines Day...can't wait to take it tomorrow!!! We love you, Braxton!

Me, my mom & my sis...

and 5 of the kiddos met in Show Low to shop. I am trying to finish up Ry & B's room. I needed one twin mattress set, 2 bed frames, baseboard, material for bedskirts and curtains. I got all but one thing...the mattresses. I am excited to get their room done I will post pictures when it's finished...cute, cute, cute! We had fun shopping and eating. We stopped at Little Cesears for the $5 pizza, pizza, pizza. Thanks mom and Ab for the great day I had fun!!!

As I was taking Mk to school...
M...Mk your lips look alot better! (She's had really chappy lips)
Mk...Thanks, I put lipgloss on, but I just wish this virus would go away. (She's got a cold sore)
M...LOL...How do you know it's a virus?
Mk...When we studied the human body, Mr. Hammond told us that cold sores were viruses.
M...Well he is right!!!

She's better...

I guess since we got a call from her bus driver, Brenda (our good friend), this morning. R answered the phone and she said that she hated to be a tattletail, but that she had tried to deal with the problem. Mk hasn't ever gotten in trouble at school in 2 1/2 years. Brenda said if Janell doesn't sit by Mk on the bus then when they off, Mk will get in her face and give her the "what for". Brenda said that she has tried to talk to her about it, but she won't look at her...well Ms. Attitude when you get home your dad has a little "prize" for you! That is one thing the I try and try to instill in my kids...RESPECT. I guess she will learn this afternoon! I knew this picture would come in handy!

What is this?

It's a Hill-billy!

R sent this to me and I thought it was HILARIOUS!

Sick kiddo

I have mixed emotions sometimes with sick kids. They are alot more cuddly and sensitive (good or bad), but it stinks because you know they aren't feeling well...

This morning Mk woke me up about 6:30 complaining about her ear hurting. We put some medicine in it and she went back to bed. I woke K up to go to school, she got ready and caught the bus. A few minutes later, Mk came in a said that it felt better, so I asked her if she wanted to school and she said yes. I took her to school and about 10:45, Mr. Hammond called and said, "I don't think Mk is feeling well." I told him I would be right over to get her. On my way over I called the doctor's office to get an appointment and they said to bring her right in. When I took her... just as I thought she had ear infections and her throat was really red. We got her prescription and came home. She slept from about 12:30-4. I hope the meds start working to make her feel better soon!

Great men

I am excited for the new first presidency! We had Elder Uchtdorf in Eagar at our Stake Conference. He was so AWESOME! He spoke down to earth and even I could understand him. I always have loved President Monson and all the personal experiences that he has. President Eyring has ties back to Pima, so I feel as though I have some sort of bond with him also. I am looking forward to their presidency!!!

Early morning drama

R has basketball practice at 5:45 am, so when he leaves Soda, the cat--who is kind of mean--comes in. First, the cat comes and wakes me up...I push him down. A few minutes later I hear K bawling. I thought, the cat scratched her. Pretty soon, Mk & K come into my bedroom K still crying they say K has a bloody nose. What the heck??? We go into the bathroom to clean her up and Mk begins to tell me the story. Oh by the way Mk & K sleep in the same bed--don't know why, but they do. Remember they were both sleeping. She says Soda scratched me and I elbowed K in the nose. She must have popped her hard because that thing bled forever. We finally got it stopped and they came and got in my bed with me. So they see the light on at Grammy's. They see Poppie & Grammy and continue to watch them for awhile. Then Mk says, "I don't know why, but I feel like we are spying on them." We all started laughing!
