Mk's baptism...

was really neat! She listened to the talks that were given to her by her two grandpa's about baptism and the Holy Ghost. It was such a special day! I hope that she will always remember how important this day is...even at eight years old!

{Sorry for the picture quality...I forgot my camera so my mom emailed these to me}

Family pics...

turned out pretty well! My mom has been wanting to get an updated family picture since the spring, but it's hard getting everyone together with enough time to get everyone dolled up for pictures, but we did it!

Mk 8th birthday, slumber party...

was a lot of fun! When I turned eight my parents let me invite whoever I wanted over for dinner and a slumber party! When we were in high school we would still bring up things that happened at that party, so I thought it would be fun to let Mk do the same thing! She invited about ten girls, we ate hot dogs for dinner, opened gifts, ate cake, they served breakfast out of the playhouse windows and had a lot of fun!

Mk's 8 year old photoshoot

I can't believe that it was eight years ago that I went into my regular doctor's appointment--with three weeks to go--and the nurse checked my blood pressure, then came back and checked it, Dr. Johanson came in and checked it, went in to get an ultrasound, then later Dr. Johanson said that I was to go home, stay in bed for two days until I was 37 weeks and then they would induce me because of hypertension and toxemia. It was my first so I was extremely scared! Everything ended up perfect! My little girl with dimples, blonde, curly hair and green eyes that I could primp and play with!

Now she's eight and such a great person! She loves to help out doing dishes and cleaning bathrooms. She is such a great helper with her little sisters...I'm glad she is the oldest! We love her sooo much!!!

True story, Mom...

K came home off the bus the other day with her eyes wide-open and hereyebrows raised and she says, "True story Mom...we made gingerbread cookies today and while we were out to recess they all ran away and left us a note. The next time we went to recess they all came back." She was so amazed! Way to go Mrs. Benson and Mrs. Porter you really tricked her!

First day of new schools...

both the girls were going to new schools this year. I think that Mk was more nervous than K. I've decided that Mk is strong-willed and independent, however she is reserved and gets a little nervous when there is change! Mk is going into third grade this year and into the Intermediate school. Her teacher is Mrs. Hardy!

K, on the other hand was so ready to go and play! She is in Kindergarten and she has the same teacher that Mk had...Mrs. Benson...we love her! She has many friends in her class that she already knew so that makes it nice!

My mom came over on Tuesday night and stayed the night to see them off on their first day of school! It was fun!

HAPPY SCHOOL YEAR!!!
